What Is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga therapy is the individualized application of yoga practices to support health, well-being, and quality of life.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, yoga therapy adapts traditional yoga practices to meet the unique needs, goals, abilities, and circumstances of each individual. Depending on the person, these practices may include movement, breathwork, relaxation, meditation, mindfulness, and education.
Yoga therapists are trained to work alongside individuals experiencing injury, illness, chronic health conditions, or other life challenges. Rather than diagnosing or treating medical conditions, they use evidence-informed yoga practices to support self-awareness, resilience, self-management, and whole-person well-being.
As a Registered Yoga Teacher currently completing advanced training in yoga therapy, my work is inspired by these principles and delivered within my professional scope of practice. My approach draws on individualized, yoga-based practices to support each person's goals while complementing the care of healthcare professionals when appropriate.
"Yoga does not just change the way we see things; it transforms the person who sees."
-B.K.S. Iyengar

Personalized, yoga-based support is designed to complement—not replace—the care you receive from healthcare professionals and other wellness practitioners.
Every practice begins with you.
Sessions are thoughtfully adapted to your goals, abilities, health history, and current stage of life. Depending on your needs, a personalized practice may include movement, breathwork, relaxation, meditation, mindfulness, body awareness, and education.
Practices are designed to support mobility, strength, balance, posture, nervous system regulation, movement confidence, resilience, self-management, and overall well-being. Whether the goal is healthy aging, recovery, managing a chronic health condition, or simply moving with greater ease, each session focuses on building practical skills that can support everyday life.
